Wastefull is a platform that connects people who have spare bin or skip space with neighbours who need it. We facilitate the arrangement between users but are not a party to any agreement made between them.
You must have permission from the account holder of any bin or skip space you list. By creating an account you confirm you have the right to offer the space you post.
Cash arrangements are processed through Stripe. When a payment is made, it is held by Stripe until the claimer confirms drop-off, at which point funds are released to the listing owner minus the platform fee.
Platform fees: 10% of the listing price, or £1.00, whichever is greater — the same for both bin and skip listings. Fees are added on top of the listing price and are non-refundable, except where the owner cancels after payment has been captured (see below).
Missed deadlines: you'll get a reminder before your deadline. If you fail to confirm drop-off before the stated deadline, your payment is captured automatically. Free (no-payment) arrangements are simply cancelled if not confirmed in time. It is your responsibility to drop off and confirm in time. If you believe a payment was captured in error, contact admin@wastefull.uk — refunds can still be issued after capture.
Cancellations by the claimer: once payment has been made and the address has been revealed, the claimer cannot cancel the arrangement. If you have a genuine issue with the listing, see Disputes below.
Cancellations by the owner: if the owner cancels an approved arrangement before payment has been captured, the payment hold is released and the claimer is not charged. Once payment has been captured, the owner cannot cancel directly — contact admin@wastefull.uk to arrange a refund. In this case, unlike a claimer-initiated cancellation or dispute, the platform fee is refunded too — you get everything back, since you received nothing.
If a listing was not as described — for example the skip was full, inaccessible, or significantly different from what was advertised — do not confirm drop-off. Email admin@wastefull.uk with photo evidence and a description of the issue. We will review the case and, where appropriate, cancel the payment so you are not charged.
Wastefull acts as an independent mediator in disputes and our decision is final. We aim to respond within 3 working days.
Where a listing is marked as free or bin duty, no payment is taken through the platform. These arrangements are made in good faith between users. Wastefull has no liability for disputes arising from non-cash arrangements.
CO₂ savings shown on the platform are estimates based on standard vehicle-emissions conversion factors, not measured emissions data.

Wastefull is a marketplace platform. We are not responsible for the condition of bin or skip space offered, for disputes between users, or for waste that is rejected by a council or waste carrier. Use the platform at your own discretion.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Wastefull after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
